Festival Head (Game) & Head of Marketing
Kinematifest
Kinematifest is a 3 day game, film, and animation festival that has a variety of events. Students are encouraged to submit their projects for different awards and their submissions will be screened over the 3 days. On top of this, there is local panels of industry professionals, keynotes speakers, a Smash Bros tournament, and networking events.
What did I do?
Networking
I have never, ever in my entire life sent as many cold emails as I did once I realized I was going to be in charge of this event. I've gotten much better about reaching out to industry professionals and managed to wrangle a keynote speaker, local panelists, and judges.
Marketing
I spearheaded the instagram reels and posts especially during the festival. An entirely separate committee was formed for the sake of marketing. I was also able to work with a bunch of great designers that created promotional material that we plastered the school with.
Spokesperson
I became one of the head organizers for Kinematifest and became the face of it. If anyone had questions, I was one of the people that they were directed to. I really enjoyed my time of making announcements and convincing more people to join in the participation and organization of the event!
